Well………………….. I am going to lose some weight and get fitter,   AGAIN!!

O K.  So I have tried  all the various ways of reducing the weight….badminton, walking, swimming - but all that was a few years ago and all that did not achieve any result. I mean, I still had to breathe IN to button up my jeans.

Oh yes, then I met a Doctor who told me to get a skipping rope and it would help me achieve my long pending target.

So I purchased a fancy skipping rope, it had a counter on it… to let me know how many skips / jumps I did.  IT WAS REAL POSH.

I had it hanging in the garage… right by the car, so that I could see it every time I got in or out of the car.   I even took it down off the hook and showed it to friends and they all appreciated my determination…..

I can’t say that it did any good, tho.    I didn’t notice any weight loss.

People tell me that biking is a great way to get fit and lose weight, so I went to the City to purchase a bike.

“We only have a purple and white one,” the man said.

I told him that I don’t really care what colour it is…but _ “I sure hope it has a comfortable seat on it”

I came out of that Cycle Shop with the PURPLE BIKE, and the following accessories.

A new seat – squishy soft and padded for old ladies !!!!

Matching PURPLE HELMET,    Oh NO… the hair-do!!

Classy leather-ish gloves with short fingers.  (Not much good in the cold weather tho.)

Head-light unit and Tail-light unit… athough I won’t be riding it at night.

Mud guard, for over the back wheel on wet days so that I will not get mud up my back.     I didn’t like to tell him that if it is raining, I will be using the car, not this bike.   I have taken the mud-guard off…it looks a bit sissy!!the weight loss machine._ (1)

Air pump.     Water bottle holder.

Security strap with Combination lock.

Small “pocket-size” book of maps of all the Cycle tracks in and around the City.

ALSO,a tiny piece of paper telling me how much money it had cost me to get set up.

Goodness me…. I could have bought another wee car for this price.

Now that this PURPLE BEAST is home, I have had to decide what to do with it.

Do I have to ride it, to make the weight fall off??

So…. here we go again, the PURPLE BEAST  is in the shed, by the lawn mower, and I wait with anticipation for the weight loss.

I hope it works this time!!!!!!!

I never thought a beast could be lovely but the purple beast looks lovely 7 one just wants to hop on it & paddle.. the simple joy of buying a cycle is very childlike & infectious. Enjoyed the post . Keep it up
